Crowns are used to restore teeth that are significantly damaged or decayed. A crown is a type of dental restoration that completely covers the tooth, restoring its shape, size, and appearance to match your natural teeth. If your smile has been damaged by injury or decay, a dental crown can effectively restore your smile’s health, function, and beauty. Dr. Kaitilin Riley, our talented dentist, may recommend a dental crown in order to:

  • Complete a dental implant
  • Restore a severely decayed or damaged tooth
  • Strengthen a weakened or fractured tooth
  • Improve the function and appearance of an irregularly shaped tooth
  • Enhance the beauty of your smile
  • Support a large dental filling when little original tooth structure remains
  • Protect a tooth following root canal therapy

We provide a wide range of dental crowns in Paso Robles, California. With both gold and porcelain crown options, you are certain to find the solution you need to restore your smile. Dr. Kaitilin Riley will be happy to help you determine which type of dental crown best fits your needs and goals. Case 1
Dr. Kaitilin Riley loves doing everything she can to give her patients every characteristic they desire in a smile. As seen in the first image, she often has the opportunity of fixing tooth fractures (the tooth fracture is shown from above). If you look at the second image, you will see how your dentist communicates color and texture to the lab to help them create a crown that is perfect for the tooth. This patient was very pleased with the results they ended up with, and was especially satisfied with the natural look and exceptional aesthetic results that were achieved. The fractured tooth is now protected.

Case 2
We also see many teeth filled with decay, and you can see in the first image a decayed tooth with an old filling. In the second image, you can see that the tooth has turned a gray color because of the decay and an old metal filling. After Dr. Kaitilin Riley gave the patient a porcelain crown, as you can see in the third photo, the tooth is now in much better shape. The dentist added the crown to help strengthen and protect the tooth; you can see from the angle in the last image that the crown blends in well with the other teeth and looks much better.
